Poker.org Sells For $1 million
Domain auction house Sedo has announced that it helped supervise the sale of the domain name Poker.org for a cool $1 million, the most ever spent on a .org domain name.
It was sold by a company called National A1 to PokerCompany.com. The total paid well beats the previous record, held by Engineering.org which sold for just under $200,000.
It may sound a lot to pay for a domain name, but when you consider that the likes of Sex.com sold for $14 million, Fund.com for $10 million and just over $5 million for Toys.com, you could argue that the buyer has done quite well in this deal!
