National Westminster Bank wins domain name case

Natwest has recently won a domain name case. The domain name onlinebankingnatwest.com was registered by Hu Lim and Natwest claim it was done in bad faith. Their main point of argument was that it was too similar to their trademarked name and could be confusing.

I highly doubt that this was the main point. It’s clear that the domain was blatantly registered in bad faith to dupe people into thinking that it was truly Natwest. This seems like money making scheme gone extremely wrong. Hopefully it was caught before any real damage was done. This seems to be quite a regular occurrence these days.
