Go Daddy Donates $500,000 To Haiti

The domain name registrar is donating half a million dollars to the victims of the Haiti Earthquake. The CEO of the company Bob Parsons initiated the donation as soon as he learned of the earthquake that hit 7.0 on the Richter scale.

Go Daddy is the worlds largest hosting company and are considerably larger than their competitors. They have today passed a cheque to the Hope for Haiti charity who are helping the relief work over there.

Go Daddy have a history of donating to victims of natural disasters, in 2004 they donated to Thailand tsunami victims, in 2007 they helped the Katrina hurricane victims and Iowa flood victims in 2008.

The go daddy CEO has been quoted as saying

“The moment we saw the news, we knew we had to help,” Parsons said. “This devastating earthquake killed thousands and thousands of people and conditions for survivors are deplorable. Those of us not affected by this disaster need to step up — we at Go Daddy feel it’s our duty to lead the way.”
