Example.com
A domain that cant be registered! example.com, example.net and example.org have all been reserved by the Internet Engineering Task Force so that people can use the domains in documentation, examples and default setups without causing a conflict of domain names.
The websites do have something on them however as it explains that the domains can not be registered. Because of the nature of the domain name however, and the fact that people do use example.com etc as an example, the one page website has some impressive stats.
The page has over 68,000 inbound links, this is a an incredible amount of links for a page with two lines of text on it! As well as this the page also has a PR of 8! again, an incredible page rank for a website with nothing on it. If i was a member of the Internet Engineering Task Force then i would be trying anything i can to place a link on that page!
